Rick Kauffman "The
Visitor" The Visitor was the one that got the whole thing started! I worked in a couple of studios when I moved to Phoenix in 1978. I still listen to those vintage recordings and hear what I was trying to accomplish but never did. Every time I would start a recording project, the money would run out (I'm not making this up!). So, determined to make a record, on a less than "shoe string" budget, I went to Stu D. Baker at Blue Sky studio. Stu gave me the "good guy" rate and poured a lot of his own energy into the project. Right at the end of the recording, prior to mastering the final product, the piggy bank was bone dry, a common thing in this desert. Luckily, two dear friends, Dan and Susan loaned me some money and the DAT tape was produced. Off to Cereus Recording and a deal was struck to produce 1000 copies. I think I might of sold 10 of these disks. My deepest thank you's to those of you that paid for them. The other 900 were released into the public the same way James Redfield got his first book "The Celestine Prophecy" into the hands of egar readers........I gave it away. "Does anybody remember the Alien Trivia Giveaway contest!!!!" The photo artwork for the cover was taken by my brother James. It was taken on the steps at Donnell Pond in Findlay Ohio, my home town. It was winter the time this picture was taken. I am posed with the infamous "Surf Chicken" my partner in crime.
